What We Do

So, its very simple, Cleveland Saves encourages and motivates individuals and families who wish to pay down debt, create an emergency fund, save for a house, education, retirement or other savings goal.  Cleveland Saves assists individuals to save and build wealth and reduce debt through the provision financial education information. Individuals interested in improving their financial situation should sign up to become a Cleveland Saver so that they can plan for a secure financial future. Cleveland Saves gets the message about savings and debt reduction out and encourages thee greater community in three ways:

Motivation: Our grassroots efforts, create widespread public awareness that saving money and planning for your financial security is a must. We motivate the public to begin saving toward a goal and enroll as a Cleveland Saver.

Coordination: We bring together the area's many financial education and wealth-building programs. We provide a safe gateway for all greater Clevelanders at any income level to find the specific tools they need to start building wealth and reducing debt. Our efforts help existing programs have greater reach and impact.

Support: We offer support tools that complement existing financial education programs. These tools are available to all Cleveland Savers and include:

• A wide range of no-fee or reduced-fee savings products including: savings accounts, mutual funds, IRAs, etc.
  
• Free how-to motivational seminars on specific financial planning topics.
  
• Free counseling with a Wealth Building Coach about your financial condition.
  
• Free 30-minute financial counseling session with a certified financial planner to receive free budgeting advice.
  
• Access to the Cleveland Saves Moneyline: 1-216-325-7126 available twenty-four hours a day seven days a week. Here Savers can call with any financial question, for referrals to additional resources, or to enroll. 
• Cleveland Saves website offering a Personal Wealth Estimator and information about how all greater Clevelanders can save, how to enroll as a Cleveland Saver, and other Cleveland Saves information.
  
• Support to area Savers Clubs to give on-going encouragement and support to Cleveland Savers.
  
• Subscription to the quarterly Cleveland Saver newsletter.
  
•  Subscription to the quarterly American Saver newsletter.

Greater Clevelanders who wish to enroll in Cleveland Saves (at no cost) set a savings goal and create a plan to reach that goal.
